Depuis que la Pologne a retrouvé dignité et autonomie dans le concert des nations, nous pouvons tous être témoins de son impressionnant dynamisme économique et sociétal.
A notre modeste niveau local, nous avons à cœur de contribuer à faire vivre cette évolution à travers des relations toujours plus épanouies entre Nevers et le district de Siedlce.
Les formes prises par cet épanouissement sont très diverses. (voir les rubriques « Evénements » et « Projets »)

L’année 2011 fut riche en événements :
Concert donné par le Quintette Orfeo à l’Église St Pierre de Nevers le 10 juillet : l’Amicale voulait ainsi marquer l’avènement de la Pologne, pour six mois, à la présidence du Conseil de l’Union Européenne. Le programme, après une première partie plutôt classique, a ouvert en deuxième partie sur des prestations emblématiques de la Pologne : « Deuxième ballade de Chopin », « Hej Mazury » et « Impressions de Pologne » arrangées par Jean Smektala, notre président.
Un voyage culturel en Pologne, organisé par Siedlce a permis à ses participants de découvrir l’Est du pays (parc naturel de Bialowieza), la région de Mazurie et ses lacs, le site historique de Gierloz ou « Le repère du Loup » (quartier général d’Hitler), le Château teutonique de Malbork, Gdansk, port hanséatique…
Accueil de 10 jeunes de Nevers + 2 accompagnateurs à Siedlce. Séjour organisé dans le cadre européen, regroupant 4 pays (Allemagne, France, Pologne et Russie), ayant pour thème « La tolérance »
Dans le cadre du projet européen « Jumelage et jeunesse vers un réseau européen », rencontre à Nevers, des représentants et responsables « jeunesse » de toutes ses villes jumelées, avec accueil de 5 représentants de la ville de Siedlce. Lors d’un temps fort de cette rencontre à l’Espace des Saules, notre groupe « Atelier chants et danses folkloriques » fut très applaudi pour sa prestation, d’autant plus que les représentants de Siedlce ont eu à cœur de faire chœur avec nous. Bonheur de chanter ensemble !
La participation de notre amicale au marché de Noël mit un beau point d’orgue à nos activités 2011. La présence de produits polonais rendit notre stand très attractif.
Projets pour 2012
Le programme de l’année 2012 s’annonce très fourni:
Une tradition se confirme : le plaisir de marquer l’arrivée du printemps, au moment de Pâques, par un repas au menu franco-polonais, repas terminé au son de l’accordéon, avec des chants polonais et français.
Dans le dossier « Voyage jeunes », prolongement de ce qui s’est fait en 2011. 10 jeunes + 2 accompagnateurs se rendront à l’invitation du district de Siedlce en juillet pour participer à une rencontre internationale ayant pour thème, cette année, « Demain dépend de nous ».
Dans le cadre du projet « Jeunesse vers un réseau européen », du 18 au 23 juin, une rencontre internationale en Pologne fera suite à celle qui s’est déroulée à Nevers en 2011.
Célébration du 10e anniversaire du jumelage Nevers-Siedlce : à cette occasion sera inaugurée, à Nevers, une rue portant le nom de « Rue Siedlce » en présence d’une délégation polonaise. Ce temps fort se terminera par un après-midi dansant animé par un orchestre.
En septembre, un voyage à l’aérodrome de Lens-Bénifontaine pour la « Fête de l’Air 2012″, meeting aérien organisé par la Communauté d’Agglomération de Lens-Liévin, sur le thème de « l’Amitié Franco-Polonaise ».

Since Poland got its dignity and autonomy back among nations, we are all witnesses of its great economic and societal dynamism.
We are dedicated to contribute to the growth of the evolution through relations always more fulfilling between Nevers and Siedlce.
This development materializes in various ways. (See the “Events” and “Projects” sections.)

2011 was filled with activities:
Concert by the Quintette Orféo at St Pierre church on July 10: the twinning association wanted to mark the Poland advent, for six month, to the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The program, after a quite formal first part, has continued the second part with iconic performance: « Chopin’s Second Ballade « , « Hej Mazury » and « Impressions of Poland » reworked by Jean Smektala, our President.
A cultural travel in Poland, organized by Siedlce, allowed its participants to discover the east of the country (natural park of Bialowieza), The Mazurie Region and its lakes, the historic site of Gierloz or the “Repère du Loup” (Hitler headquarter) the Malbork castle, Gdansk, Hanseatic harbour…
Welcome of 10 young people from Nevers + 2 accompanying persons at Siedlce. Travel organized within the European context, with 4 countries (Germany,Poland,FranceandRussia) on the theme of “Tolerance.”
In the context of the European project “Twinning and Youth towards a European Network”, meeting in Nevers, between representatives and the responsible “youth” of twin cities, and welcome of 5 representatives from Siedlce. During a highlight of this meeting at the Espace des Saules, our group “Workshop folk songs and dances” has been highly appreciated for its performance, all the more so as the representatives of Siedlce gave heartfelt to sing with us. Happiness of singing together!
The participation of our twinning association at the Christmas Market has ended with success our 2011 activities. Presence of polish products has made our stand very attractive.
Plans for 2012:
2012 schedule will be productive:
A tradition is confirmed: the pleasure of celebrating the spring arrival, at Easter time, with a Franco-Polish meal, meal ended at the sound of the accordion, with french and polish songs.
In the file “Young travel”, extension of the things made in 2011. 10 young people + 2 accompanying persons will go to Siedlce to take part in an international meeting which theme, this year, is “Tomorrow depends on us”.
Within the context of the project “Youth towards a European network”, from June 18 to 23, an international meeting in Poland will follow the last one, which took place in Nevers in 2011.
Celebration of the Nevers-Siedlce twinning 10 birthday: for this occasion will be inaugurated, in Nevers, a street called “Street Siedlce” in the presence of Polish delegation. This highlight will ended with a dancing afternoon attended by an orchestra.
In September, journey at the airfield in Lens-Bénifontaine, in occasion of the “2012 Air Day”, air meeting organized by the urban community of Lens-Liévin, on the theme of “Franco-Polish friendship”.
